Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you — the business subscribing to MarginLeaks — and MarginLeaks (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them on behalf of your business. MarginLeaks is built for businesses; it isn't offered to consumers or to anyone under 18.
The service
MarginLeaks calculates plate costs, tracks ingredient prices, and shows what each dish nets on each sales channel — including the price a dish would need to hit your margin target. The numbers are decision support, not advice: menu prices, supplier choices, and every other business decision remain yours. We show our math precisely so you can check it; you should, especially before large decisions.
Plan, billing & refunds
The Operator Plan is $79 per month per location, billed monthly in advance to the payment method you provide — or, if you choose the annual option, $790 per year per location, billed once in advance (twelve months for the price of ten). Either way the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Neither plan has a minimum term or a required contract: you can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (the month, or the prepaid year) and you keep access until then. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on either plan: tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, no questions, no retention call. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next billing cycle — never retroactively. The same terms, laid out for a quick read, are on the Billing & refunds page.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure and your team list current: you're responsible for activity under your account, including teammates you invite and the roles you give them. Remove access for anyone who leaves your business — revoking a teammate takes effect immediately.
Your data
Everything you put into MarginLeaks — recipes, ingredients, prices, invoices, settlements, sales figures — is your data. You can export it at any time (recipes as CSV, your full account as JSON) and you can ask us to delete it. We use it to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We never sell it and never share it with other customers.
Document reading & accuracy
When you upload an invoice, menu, or payout statement, automated extraction (including AI) reads the document and proposes structured entries — you review and confirm before anything is applied, and every margin and price is computed deterministically from the values you confirmed. Extraction can misread a smudged line; the review step exists so errors stop with you, not in your numbers. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you confirm and enter.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempting to access other customers' data, no reselling the service, no probing or disrupting its security, and no uploading content you don't have the right to use.
No guarantee of results; limits of liability
We work hard to make the math correct and reproducible, but MarginLeaks is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee specific financial outcomes, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop anytime (see billing above). We may suspend or end the service for material breach of these terms, with notice and a chance to fix it where practical. After termination we keep your data exportable for 30 days, then delete it in the ordinary course, except where the law requires longer retention.
Changes, governing law & contact
If we change these terms materially, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the change applies; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts of El Paso County, Texas. Questions?
